Security & provider ownership

Currendo is built around one principle: the provider owns their professional identity. Everything below follows from that.

Provider ownership

  • Your licenses, certifications, CE/CME, and documents belong to you — they move with you between jobs.
  • Organizations see summaries by default and itemized detail only through your explicit, revocable grant.
  • An employer relationship ending never takes your records with it.

Sharing you control

  • Portfolio and credential shares are read-only links that can expire and can be revoked instantly.
  • Sensitive identifiers are masked by default on shared views.
  • Recipients never need your password, and every share is provider-initiated.

Account security

  • Two-factor authentication (TOTP) with trusted-device support.
  • Human verification on sign-in and sign-up, plus rate limiting on sensitive routes.
  • Session management with the ability to sign out other devices.

Honest boundaries

  • Currendo links to authoritative sources (state boards, Nursys, certifying bodies, CAQH) — it never fabricates an integration or claims to verify what it hasn't.
  • Outbound links and manually recorded checks are labeled exactly as what they are.
  • Currendo does not replace licensing boards, certifying bodies, or reporting systems.
